Confinement Food Journey - Woods Ear Fungus

It's Dinner time!
Tonight we are having bak choy stir fried with ginger, taiwanese sausages for my boys, steamed fish with sliced ginger with Dom Benedict, sliced pork with woods' ear fungus and a big bowl of lotus root soup.

Woods Ear Fungus - For cleansing Blood
  1. Has anticoagulant (prevents blood clotting) properties which is definitely a must have for mothers in confinement, warms the body also beneficial to mothers after delivery who are "cold" and believed to be effective in lowering cholesterol.
  2. Rich in iron and used for cleansing arteries and expelling stale blood from body.
  3. They are a good source of nutrients, full of vitamins, low in calories and affordable!

They are crunchy, rubbery and usually found in soups or stir-fries.
