Jade | Movie Night

Little Jade's simple pleasures at home without her 2 brothers. Alternate weekends, the boys will go over to my parents' place for a short stay and Jade will have the whole place to herself. Tonight she is watching Frozen all by herself.

Our sofa is covered with her pillows and blanket. Jade is also wearing her princess crown to watch Frozen. haha...

Play Date with Eliz, Mike and Isabelle

Last Dec holidays, the grandparents bought this small rubber band thingys for making bracelets for Jade. Ended up with their cousins having to teach the boys and Jade and it became quite a hit with the children turning their turns to make friendship bands.

So I bought one set for today's play date! Little Isabelle and Jade started to do their own friendship band after James and Jules gave some elementary lessons. Eliz picked up really fast and she finished one band quickly. The older kids moved onto board games soon.

They played the Spotting game, Guess my occupation, watched a movie,  charade and a game of rummikub. Dinner was fantastic and scrumptious and I didn't managed to take any photos for keeps. We had Jamie Oliver Baked chicken,  asparagus with prawns, fried egg omelette, a braised dish which reminded me of CNY and 2 bottles of red.

We had a lovely afternoon and evening with the Songs!
Thank you  Ling for taking the effort to arrange these awesome play dates.

East Coast Park | Mexican Theme Food Camp

Hello hello!

It's the March School holidays again and because it is a short 1 week break for the children, we didn't plan any overseas trip. Today we will be camping at our beautiful East Coast Park for 1 night. The weather was perfect for a camp! Bright and sunny, abit too sunny perhaps. But the skies are very blue and pretty,

As usual, both Jules and James will help their daddy with the setting up of the tarp and tent. Jade is already resting on her chair under the shade.

The boys went to the beach to play without changing into their swimsuits! OMG.

Hubs taught the kids how to play Big Two. The boys didn't want their daddy to win...making so much noises.
The weather is sooo nice! windy at times and the kids after a few games of poker cards, went back to stroll on the beach,
YAY! it is Lunch time and we having chicken burritos!

And I didn't know that Corona is from Mexico! Was planning on Margaritas but it is quite an effort to prepare at a campsite, then Hubs was telling me that Corona is Mexican! HAH!

So the camp routine goes, beach, eat, rest and repeat.

Jade was so fascinated with the large leaves that she picked up most of them. It was like she was doing community work.
Tea time - toasted burrito wraps with chunky salsa and cheese dip. Wah, this one the kids love it.
Then we have Tacos with minced beef!

Dinner was Mexican wings! And we ended with a movie night.

8am: Jules and me, woke up to take our shadow wefie. Both James and Jade are still sleeping.
