Travelling with Kids - Canopi Bintan Day 03

Goodbye Canopi Bintan!

it was an awesome glamping experience and we really want to be back for more family fun!

I personally recommend for families who are looking for a quick getaway and want to find a relaxing yet enough activities for the kids to do, Canopi Bintan might be one place you can try out. The man-made pool had quite a few rentable floats, paddle boats and water activities for both children and adults to try out. There's also a sandy bay for the children to make sandcastles or just draw on the sand, so remember to bring your sand castle kit.

If the weather doesn't do justice, you can always head out to Treasure Bay indoor playground where the grounds are huge and the kids can just spend the entire afternoon there. If you have some one to juggle them, you can spend an hour at the spa!

For night activities, we did the mangrove firefly tour where our boys had their first in catching and seeing them in action! The second night we did a campfire BBQ. So it was a totally cool experience, somewhat an outdoor camping one but made comfort easy.

so mummies! give it try!

Travelling with Kids - Canopi Bintan Day 02 - Treasure Bay and BBQ dinner

2nd Day in Canopi Bintan - Treasure Bay, adventure rides and BBQ dinner

Our second day in Bintan started with cloudy skies. Looked like it was going to rain any minute. We rushed down to our breakfast area and there were many kids playing at the sandy playground outside the breakfast cafeteria.

There was a a good mix of local food like fried rice or mee goreng. Porridge for babies and young kids, cereals and an egg station where you can ask the waiter to whip up any kind of eggs you want.
Took a buggy down to Treasure Bay, all canopi guests have free entrance to this "Treasure Bay". Basically it has some water activity area, sundeck area for suntanning, restaurants, food stalls, rent scooters and other kiddy rides and a really huge indoor playground.
As the weather was quite rainy, we did the safe route - bought unlimited hours to play at the indoor playground and the kids totally enjoyed themselves.

Beginning we thought Jade was too young to know...then we saw little kids went in! So we bought her a ticket as well...or rather kids under the age of three needs an accompanying adult. So we bought an adult ticket and hubs was tasked to play with her.

as you can see from the photos, even at the young age of 1, Jade enjoyed herself tremendously in the pool of plastic balls!

We had a simple lunch downstairs of the indoor playground. There were only 2 stalls opened. Ordered some satays and fried chicken rice.

Back to our tent to rest, showered and we let the kids watch some telly.

Went back to treasure bay again because we promised the boys that we will let them do some adventure rides in the evening before dinner.
me and baby jade sat out waiting, while the boys went riding on their fancy rides.
It's ok! at least i got some mummy-daughter time!!!
James on the "Prince Motor" and Jules in the Junior ATV

We ordered a 2 pax set BBQ from the restaurant and the campfire came at about 730pm.
It's about S$33 per pax and we ordered for 2. The food portions were generous. 2 adults and 3 kids, we almost couldn't finish everything.
There was a plate of mee goreng, fried rice, potato salad, garden salad, dessert (cakes), fruit platter, veggie sticks, kebabs of beef and chicken, squids on sticks. Otahs, 2 huge corn cob and 2 mackerels.

and at the convenience store, we bought 4 cans of Bintan beer for our BBQ!

there was so much food to go around!

burps!

Travelling with Kids - Canopi Bintan Day 01 - Out to the Pool!

Out to the Pool for more wet and wild fun!!

We rented a pink flamingo float for Jade because it's so instagram worthy!!!  Just $3 an hour?
Rented the paddle boat for $8 an hour, where it can fit 2 boys and adults can play in it too!! I had my fun in it at the end when the kids gave up...even hubs had a go in the paddle boat too.
 Splashing good times!
Jade in her pink flamingo float...so cute and pink!

my turn in the paddle boat whilst Jules looked after Jade and pushing her around the pool.
These are the only family photos we had...and nope, we didn't had one where everyone's face was towards the camera.  I suppose this is what you call a candid camera.

so fun so fun!!!
The kids all were sad to leave the pool cos we really had to quickly shower and get onto our next acitvity!!! -  Mangrove Fireflies tour!!!
