Reunion Dinner at Lau Beijing

It's the last day of the Lunar New Year so we usually will have a reunion dinner to end this festive period. Chose Lao Beijing at Novena because of its good rating as well as its locality. Very central and close to my mother's working place so that she can just walk over.
I ordered a dinner set menu for 6 persons and the portions were very generous!
we especially love the fried fish because it was fried until really crispy and didn't taste oily at all. The fish was so huge that we had trouble finishing it. The Salted Egg Yolk prawns was a favourite too. I guess anything coated in salted egg yolk wouldn't go wrong right?

Their duck was very good too, tender, meaty and not fatty! The beancurd with vegetables was just as delicious. I wouldn't say that their dishes are top rated or really fantastic but the serving portions was big and it tasted quite home-cooked. Very comforting and the children enjoyed eating it.
Lastly a photo of my mummy with Jade. Jade opened her arms, gesturing to my mother to be carried. How can she resists right? She was so happy that she immediately carried her and wanted to kiss her cheek! That was when Jade got a bit frightened. hahaha...
