5D4N March Holidays to Penang! - Day 2 Penang Street Art

--Post Photos first --
updates later!
Early morning after breakfast, we started off for Penang Street Art. As the weather in Penang was quite hot, we thought to visit the street in the mornings before noon time might be best and then to spend the rest of the afternoon visiting their local museums like : Upside down museum and Trick Art Museum.
Jade is wearing a floppy hat just like me. While waiting for our Grab car, wefies! From Batu Ferringhi to Georgetown Penang Street Art is about 1 hour's journey, heavy traffic is quite a common thing in the city centre despite it being a weekday.

Among our 3 children, Jules being the eldest probably is the only one that appreciated the art more, saying that it was so well drawn and realistic. James was complaining about the heat and wanted to rest. Jade on the other hand was just being slinged away by me, no complaints.

The only real thing was the lourved window pane on the right.

Just next to Dragon Ice Ball, there are some souvenir shops where I bought a rattan fan (see below) and a magnet for memory! The rattan fans looked pretty vintage and handmade.

above: so hot!!!

After taking a few shots of the Penang Street Art, i say about 1 hour??? We went to China House for aircon, cakes and drinks. They serve so many different types of cakes that it was difficult to choose. In the end, i did the lazy way and asked the waiter who speaks perfect English - What are the popular cakes?

above: I can't say how hot it is (so many times), bought a durian flavoured ice cream cone for the kids.

waiting for another grab to bring us to the museums!
I've created separate blog entries for the museums so that this post wouldn't be too long and loaded with photos.

Let's continue our Penang Tour after our trips to the museum, where we visited the Gurney Paragon Mall foodcourt. Ordered a chendol, spicy chilli Ban Mee and Kebab!

right at the basement of the mall, there's a super market where we bought some snacks for the following nights in Penang.

i bought Dans salted egg yolk chip in 2 flavours to try - original and spicy.
somebody was so tired that he fell asleep in the Grab car...
after our Day tour around Penang, grocery shop in the mall, we didn't feel like leaving our room. So for dinner, we went down to the Pizzeria and ordered pizza, tomato sauce mussels, fruit smoothies for the kids and called it a night.
