Jules - Dim Sum with Grandparents at Red Star Restaurant

The helper's away!

i know this sounds bad, but whenever the helper is on her day off, we get to go somewhere to eat porky stuff!
And i love dim sum so much and you know how dim sum works = a basket of 3 or 4 mouthful of delicious nibbits to share with family.

so when there's 5 in the family, we will need to order at least 2 baskets...not only that most items we like, our helper cannot eat.
eg: siew mai, carrot cake because of the chinese sausages, century egg porridge, pan fried dumplings, pork ribs with beans,  meatballs, char siew sou etc.

then my helper don't do spicy too.
so she doesn't eat chicken feet, chilli yong tau foo.

do you get me???

I NEED MY DIM SUM!
so here i am, at red star restaurant, waiting in line, on my helper's day off.

hubs in line with all the others, arms cross, waiting impatiently.
finally we have a table and jules enjoyed himself by playing with the plastic plate and bowl.

see the cheeky fella's smile! obviously he's having a whale of a good time!

so sorry, no photos of my dim sum because i was too carried away with eating that when the food started coming, i started eating!

Jules - stretching out his hand towards his daddy..."bao bao"

Jules - Harbourfront Kiddy Rides

after a meal at Taiwan Snacks at Harbourfront, we brought Jules upstairs to change his diaper because he pooed. And after coming out from the diaper changing room, there were a whole string of kiddy rides just outside!!! of cos the little fella shakes his legs and points his fingers at the rides adamantly...
i think his body language is very telling.

ok.
the rest you just have to see his expression...

 Jules and his bat mobile
after a few seconds in the bat mobile, he wants to sit in another ride.
Talk about changing cars at this young age...tsk tsk.
he decided that he love the truck most because it has 2 steering wheels!

See his 2 hands?? each on one steering wheel..but his eyes are at another direction!!!
Looking at the other kid in the other ride.
and a boy comes into his ride and took the steering wheel!!! Jules' eyes went O_O
and he goes hmm....mmm....not complaining...maybe he's scare to voice out.
seconds later..he averts his eyes elsewhere and goes hmm....

finally the boy left and jules looks towards him...

DIY - Moppe Project - Finished Look!

Dear all!

I've finally finished my DIY vintage drawer from an IKEA moppe. This will come in nifty for keeping all my crafty items plus hubs has his own little drawers too.

And I'm pretty pleased with my accomplished look!

here are some of the details:
I've printed some coloured paper and used my own handwriting for "his" and "hers"

here's a closer look at the edges of the drawers where i've sand down to give it a worn out look, so that it will appear to look old.
And i bought a cherry wood varnish from HomeFix for a new coat of paint.
