5D4N Royal Caribbean | Penang Phuket | Day 1

OMG, there are so many things to know and do before you go on Royal Caribbean guys! The FOMO is panicking inside of me, but I'm telling myself that it is impossible to do everything with 13 family members on a travel trip, so I'm just going to chill and go with the flow.

But before we embark our ship, I told hubs specifically a few things that I wanted to do.

1. Dinner at Wonderland (but failed as we didn't manage to get any reservation slots)

2. Redo Penang Art Mural walk and to re-take all the photos for comparison (but failed because it was drizzling)

3. Let the kids do Parasailing and Banana boat in Patong Phuket (mission accomplished)

4. Let the kids do iFLY (mission accomplished)

5. Watch Silk Road (mission accomplished), we even managed to catch a full movie together as a family, Effectors and Magic Show!

6. Eat pizza for supper

One week before embarking, if you have downloaded the Royal Caribbean app, you would be able to state what time you want to board the ship. Also you will be able to make reservations for Silk Road and to buy the "key".

And 2-3 days before embarking, you get the chance to upgrade your cabin which we didn't because the difference is just gold dining, silver dining or the normal dining. And it does not give you the privilege to eat at the Specialty restaurants. There are 4 of them btw.

12noon: Check in!

Once we got onto our cruise, we are able to have some light meal at Windjammer. But it was packed with people and it was difficult to get a table for 11 of us.

4pm: Bumper cars is OPEN! the queue was so long and we waited for very very long.

Lesson learnt: visit during meal times. Queue will be very very short.

730pm: Dinner at the Dining Hall. There is quite a wide variety of food served here and you don't have to wait for a table. Much relaxing as compared to Windjammer.

after dinner, it is backed to Bumper Cars!! The kids loved them so much.

8pm: Movie night, watching Jurassic World with the kiddos. It was our first movie as a family! Can you believe it!

After the movie, hubs and I had some wine down at the balcony. The kids joined us...and they were bored even after their bedtime, so we made our way up to Sorrentos to get pizza!

12midnight: Pizza for supper. James is very tired already. He says he wants to go back to the room.
