September Holidays | Desaru Day 2 | Adventure Waterpark

Breakfast at the Sessions. Try to make it here early at 8am to avoid long queue! Breakfast at the Sessions is very sumptous, a wide variety of food to choose from. Breakfast cereals, juice stations, salad, porridge, an assortment of cheese, bread, buns, yoghurt and even sweet desserts.

The only thing which had to queue for very very long is the egg station where the chefs will cook your scramble eggs on the spot.

But I couldn't wait for both mornings and went directly for the sunny side ups.

Above: Both mornings, I had their Nasi Lemak with mutton rendang! It was really good!
About 9am, there will be a balloon man, dressed up as a clown ready at the open field to make balloons for the children. As we were not aware of it, when we saw a queue forming, we went to take a look. Both Jules and James had returned back to the hotel room by themselves and leaving Jade here to queue on her own. She queued for about 30 mins before it was her turn. And she asked for a lollypop balloon.
Above: Jade in the super long queue with many other children, waiting for their turn to get a balloon! When Jade returned back to the hotel room with the balloon, the boys were so disappointed that they didn't have one.

10am: Adventure Waterpark opens! And the best thing that there was a direct entry to the waterpark from the hotel itself and so there was practically no one there when we went in!!!

Above: WOOHOO! just the kids and the Waterpark!
Above: Lil' Warriors' Hideout...the kids enjoying the whole of the Waterpark to themselves before the rest of the people starting to stream in 30 mins later.

Above: The boys at the Viking, no queue too!!!

Above: Late morning, lots of people at the Wave pool already.

Above: 4pm. Brought the kids to Grind for hot chocolate and some snacks.

Above: While waiting for our driver to bring us to our firefly tour, hubs spotted a rainbow!

Above: the firefly tour at Bujang is a wood boat ride, unlike the one where we went to in Bintan was on a kayak type. To be honest, I preferred the kayak type because the ride was much closer to the fireflies where we could see and almost touch them. This time, was feeling was very different. There was no much fireflies to see up close but from afar.

As the firefly depart time was 7pm, there was hardly any time for dinner. Sessions buffet dinner starts at 630pm and it was too rush for the kids and myself to finish in half an hours time. So we decided to go for the firefly tour then settle dinner back at Hard Rock and see what is available.

For ala carte dinner, we settled ourselves at The Elephant and the Butterfly where they serve Mexican cuisine. We ordered the dinner set for 4 pax which came with 4 mocktails! Hubs ordered 2 blue lagoon for the boys and 2 Shirley temples, one for me and the other pink drink for Jade. Needless to say, the kids were very very excited to have their own coloured mocktails.

No other better way to end the night with a glass of red.
