Good morning! We woke up to find ourselves in Toucheng Farm Resort. Usual things which our tour guide has instructed us - EVERYDAY: 6am wake up call, 7am Breakfast and 8am Leave for next Destination. It is such a pity that we didn't get to spend more time here because there were several farm animals which we didn't manage to pet and feed. The only time we had was 6am to 7am where we woke up really early, walked the resort grounds and met a duck, bunch of koi fishes, a few rabbits and a dog.
The goats and cows were located much further up the hill where the resort person told us that it would take us about 30mins climb. And we didn't have that kind of time.
Above: Family photo and changed into our boots and off we went to the muddy fields!!! Reminds me of Pepper Pig when she jumps into the muddy puddles. I think it was a first time for me, walking through the muddy fields where it sucks your boots into the puddle!

This evening, the tour guide Hennie has told us that she will bring us to the city to buy some winter jackets. The coming weekend, the temperature will drop to 5 degrees and all of us were not prepared for that kind of coldness.First stop of the day was DIY Scallion Pancakes! It was an enjoyable family activity. There, they taught us how to roll a dough with a stick, flatten it out, add 2 big scoops of scallions and wrapped it up like a sausage. Once you are done, you can hand your pancake over to someone who will then pass you a number tag. While the pancakes are being cooked, we are brought to the scallion farm!! Here, we learnt how to pluck or harvest being the right word to use here...a scallion.
Oh, I forgot, before going to the muddy scallion farm, we had to change out into boots where the farm will provide.

Above: Me and little Jade with our bunch of freshly plucked scallions! How to pluck the scallions? Make a small "O" shape with your thumb and 2nd/3rd finger and cupped your fingers around the scallion and pull! That's how.
Once we are done trying our hands at plucking scallions, we headed back to the shed where we made our pancakes and it was cooked, waiting for us to collect with our number tags. The kids all enjoyed their pancakes. It was delicious.
