8D7N Korea - Seoul and Busan | Day 5 | BIFF Gamcheon Cultural Village BBQ Dinner

BIFF also known as Busan International Film Festival.
They say to eat sundae here which is blood sausages. Managed to buy some from the food carts located along the streets of BIFF. They taste ok but the kids love the Ssiat Hottek which is a must try when you visit Busan. The one we ate which had a Running Man Logo was very good!!!

So the kids had their fare of street food which was slightly different from the ones we ate in Seoul, while me and hubs are trying to figure out which palm prints on the floor we could recognise. Unfortunately we are not very good at it, hahah...most of them we didn't know who they were.
Usual staple for the kids is Gimbap!! never goes wrong.

BIFF is located very close to Jalgachi Market and that is where we are going next for Lunch!
The market is very very huge with rows and rows of stalls selling the same seafood. We didn't know which stall to go, happened that one uncle approached us and so we just decided to order our seafood from him. He didn't speak very good English but he managed to get a young lady who was from china who managed to speak to Mandarin to us. The seafood stalls here are all "hooked" up with a cooking stall upstairs, so when we had ordered and weighed our seafood, the lady brought us upstairs to her stall where the chef will prepare our meal.

the grilled fish was the most delicious. The seafood hotpot was very fresh but towards the end, the soup was too salty to drink. We even needed help to eat the shelled fish because we have never eaten one before.
After lunch, we took a taxi down to Gamcheong Cultural Village where I highly recommend to buy a map so that you will get the best out of your visit. The village is very huge and you can easily lose your way and miss some of the most scenic spots, so do get a map from the Tourist Information Centre for 2000 won!

above: Jade fell asleep in the stroller so hubs had to look after her downstairs while the boys and myself climbed up to a scenic spot to obtain a stamp as well as to take some wefies together.
above: many of the stamps are located outside the house or store.
above: so nice and colourful!!

there's just so many many photo spots along the way to take, everywhere is so instagrammable because of the colourful wall murals, little houses art installations and colour wooden planks of fishes!
the boys had so much fun running up and down, discovering places to take photos.

when travelling with kids, there's always time for tea break.
above: we finished collecting all the stamps and postcards and now trying to get a cab back to the city for dinner.
There is a great BBQ restaurant at Nampodong for pork belly and pork neck which we happened to chanced upon because of the long queue snaking outside the restaurant. Minimum order 3 portions, each portion is 10,000 won. Kimchi stew also not bad. It is very popular with the locals, not touristy at all so I guess it must be quite authentic. The selection of meat cuts are very simple, just 2 types - pork belly and pork neck which are both very tender and juicy. If there are more than 3 of you, I recommend to try their kimchi stew too!

Matchandeul Wang Sogeum Gui
34, Nampo-gil, Jung-gu B1f, Busan

And that's how we spent our Day 5 in Korea!
