Changi Jewel | Bouncing Nets

Taking MRT to Changi!

Lunch at Gochi-So Shokudo -  Japanese pork rice bowl. They use Iberico pork from Spain and their pork is grilled over charcoal fire for that smoky charred flavour and the rice bowls comes with a runny egg. Nice.

Protip, there are spots with strong jets of air con so go there for some cool air!

Foggy bowls, the kids said the fog came out like rotton eggs...oh no.

Dinner at the Michelin 1 star ramen restaurant - Japanese Soba Noodles Tsuta
We were so hyped up and filled with high anticipation of the Avengers Light show that we were quite disappointed with what we saw. Basically, there were not enough seating areas even though we were already half hour earlier than the show time. From where we were sitting, it was not possible to see the projections, the music was inaudible too. Sigh, maybe we were expecting something like the Gardens by the Bay, hahah...
back to our hotel for cable tv and snacks and good night!

Children's Day | A day at Lakeside Garden

There are so many playgrounds in Singapore that we haven't visited all of them, so today's children's day and we are planning on visiting one of the playgrounds in the West. Zipline is definitely a favourite with the kids, both big and small, always having to queue for it. Family swings are a great hit too. The rest are quite fun to go for one or two rounds.

Above: Family swings like these where 2 kids or more can swing together is definitely a joy!
Above: zipline. See the queue forming behind.

Above: jumping frogs or these trampoline nets that is arranged in a circuit, allows one to bounce from one net to another. One to two rounds and the kids were "done".

Above: the weirdest see-saw that is difficult to play. Because you need 2 persons of the same weight to play...and it is set so high that most kids have trouble "hopping" onto the seat.

Admiralty Park (Woodlands)

There are so many large and spacious playgrounds in Singapore!!! And today we are making our way to Admiralty Park. It has been built for quite some time now, but we never seem to find time to visit. It was only after our visit then a few parents told me that when they visited it during COVID times, the slide swing which you see in the photo below was closed. So how fortunate we were!! Because when we went, it was opened!!!

Above: Jade having a go at the slide swing.

Jade and me in twinning t-shirts from Uniqlo.

Above: Jade coming out from a metal slide. I've never seen a slide that goes through ground before!

Remember to put on your hats and sunblock during play times! It gets so hot and sunny here...

The kids running towards another playground with swings

This is the junior playground because everything is so small!!!
