Hotpot at Home

Did you know that Daiso has recently started to bring in Kikkoman sauces? And they are super convenient for a quick meal! Today I'm trying their Kikkoman Kimchi hotpot soup. And it tastes delicious!

For my family of 5, about 1.5 litres of water, I added almost half a bottle into it. And of course the awesome taste comes not only from the Kikkoman sauce, but also from the sweetness of the vegetables, mushrooms, green oninons and meat.

Lunar New Year Day 5 | Godma and Friends pays a visit

Today we are doing Korean Style hotpot! And I have seafood pancake on the sides, roasted seaweed and kimchi.

Jessie brought lovely cheese pineapple tarts, they were so good, I couldn't resist eating more than I should. I have put on alot of weight from eating all the new year goodies and all the hotpot!
if you are wondering where my goldfish and lucky fortune cat plates are from, they are from IKEA! And the pretty white scallop plates are from Daiso.

Jules - 6th Birthday Party Gift Tags

i managed to download free printable gift tags from here as the design were so pretty, even though it has no linkage to construction or building blocks.
ps my son's birthday theme is building blocks for this year.

we downloaded them and resized them to fit 5 nos of gift tags in one A4 paper as we needed to print 50 nos of gift tags for Jules' birthday party packs.

here's a zoom in photo of the lovely printed calligraphy text "Lots of Love"
thread from daiso. Gold Eiffel scissors from Typo.
we did a little customisation on the gift tags by ending Jules' first name on the back (polka dot) gift tag with "from warren" in the soft copy before printing them with our printer.
and we are all ready to start wrapping our brown paper party packs!

a table full of lovely mess
a stack of lovely gift tags all waiting to be tied and gifted.

DIY - Squid hats

it's the last day of school for Term 1 and next week will be the 1 week long March holidays.
The school decided to end the school term with something novelle - Crazy Hat day!

fortunately the school had informed the parents early enough for me to ask Jules what kind of crazy hat would he want to wear. And this fella told me that he wanted to be a squid! And a green squid somemore. I just told James that he better be a squid too. And he said ok and wanted to be an orange squid.

So I went down to Daiso and bought some felt cloth and started to sew.

above: my sketch on how it will look like eventually.

taduh! it took me 4 hours to finish one squid hat.
So i took 2 nights to do these squid hats up.

James // Dinosaur Theme Cake

I ordered plain strawberry sponge cake from Four Leaves and decorated it byself. The stone candies are from Giant, the dinosaurs can be bought from Daiso where I bought quite a few packets as part of James Birthday Party Pack favours.

I collected the cake in the evening and after we put the boys to sleep, I went to decorate it while hubs busied himself with the packing of the party packs.

James // 4th Birthday Party Packs - Preparation

We bought about 6 packets of miniature dinosaurs from Daiso for $2 each. And bought 50 boxes of Hello Panda from Watsons where they were having an event going on at Plaza Singapura Atrium. And we used a glue gun and stuck a dinosaur onto every Hello Panda for the kids.

above: 1 packet of miniature dinosaur - each packet had 5 dinosaurs in it.

above: Each party pack came with a little Thank you card

Tadah!!! we have finished sticking all the dinosaurs on the Hello Panda boxes, now it's just packing them into a Dinosaur bag.

Will backpost on all my DIYs and where I bought my stuff from or how i made them.
