5D4N Royal Caribbean | Penang Phuket | Day 3

Day 3 on Royal Caribbean. Today we will be visiting Patong Beach at Phuket!
Today's itinerary is super simple.
SAND. SUN. SEA

1. Do Parasailing
2. Do Banana Boat
3. Build sandcastles
4. Lunch Thai Food
5. Buy Thai snacks at 7-11

730am: Breakfast at the Dining Hall
I had eggs benedict.

830am: Walk around the cruise deck area and found many cute pandas to take photo with.
Skypad - $5 USD per trip. The kids all had a go at it.

Then we went to get our tickets to disembark in Phuket.
1130am: Phuket here we come!
PATONG BEACH

Hubs and Jade went on a parasailing together and Jules and James coupled up for the next ride.
Getting ready...See Jade's little legs swinging in the air when they haven't even lifted off yet!
And OFF THEY GO!
and they are back! Now it is the boys' turn.
Buckle up boys!!!
above: Jules and James up up and away!
And one round around the sea and they are back!
The kids while waiting for the banana boat to arrive, they played in the sea.

All the 5 children went onto the banana boat with only 1 adult.
Jules totally enjoyed the banana boat ride...the only adult told us that no more another banana boat ride.
Apparently, the banana boat flipped down and all the children went into the sea! It was a thrilling ride for some, but my bet is the adult must have gotten a shock, having to bring up so many kids back up to the banana boat in the open sea.

Will continue our 2nd half of Phuket and Teppanyaki Dinner in another post!

5D4N Royal Caribbean | Penang Phuket | Day 2

Good Morning Penang Malaysia!

The children's waterplay has a specific timing on the opening hours, so it is still too early to go there. We went to the indoor pool for some water fun with our squirt guns.

Soon the cousins came and join them in the hot tub. It is very cold in the mornings!

10am: Finally the waterplay is opened!

So the kids toggle between the waterplay area and the hot jacuzzi tub, because with the strong winds blowing, it was very cold at the waterplay area.

Lunch at the Dining Room. We like it that as a party group of 11, we can all sit down together for a restful meal. The windjammer is too much of a hassle for us to find tables/seats to sit together as a family.

Jalan Jalan with hubs around the cruise ship before we dock at Penang!
It was drizzling in Penang, so it was quite unfortunate that we are not able to do the Art Mural walk. My FIL hired a driver to drive us around, so off we went for some indoor activities - Upside down musuem, durian feast and Bak Kut Teh.

We ordered Black Thorn and Hundred Year old Tree. The kids had bubble gum which is a novelty since we don't have it in Singapore. Jules and James are trying to see who makes the biggest bubble!
Upside Down Museum was packed on a weekend afternoon. The staff were ushering us like packs of cows, quickly taking our photos and telling us what to do and which station to go next. There wasn't any time for us to rest, talk or laugh at the photos taken. It was like just going with the flow.

The good side of things was that we managed to get so many memorable photos as a family!

Dinner was at a Claypot Bah Kut Teh store along the roads. Ah, before we went for dinner, we stopped by a local produce shop to buy some snacks. I bought tau sar piah (green beans), some cuttlefish snacks and a box of bah kut teh spices. It was such a hurry that I didn't manage to take any photos.
The kids playing their slapping hand games. They find it so amusing.

7pm: Back to our mothership!

8pm: Silk Road. After that we went for the Effectors which depicts 4 superheroes in 4 different colours with different powers. Not much to say about the performance or storyline.
The highlight was the drones flying above the audience!

look who fell asleep. Yes, it is way past her bedtime.
