Hotpot at Home

Did you know that Daiso has recently started to bring in Kikkoman sauces? And they are super convenient for a quick meal! Today I'm trying their Kikkoman Kimchi hotpot soup. And it tastes delicious!

For my family of 5, about 1.5 litres of water, I added almost half a bottle into it. And of course the awesome taste comes not only from the Kikkoman sauce, but also from the sweetness of the vegetables, mushrooms, green oninons and meat.

Lunar New Year Day 5 | Godma and Friends pays a visit

Today we are doing Korean Style hotpot! And I have seafood pancake on the sides, roasted seaweed and kimchi.

Jessie brought lovely cheese pineapple tarts, they were so good, I couldn't resist eating more than I should. I have put on alot of weight from eating all the new year goodies and all the hotpot!
if you are wondering where my goldfish and lucky fortune cat plates are from, they are from IKEA! And the pretty white scallop plates are from Daiso.

Mt Fuji Nabe

After our visit to Ion Niku Kappo, we just had to make this fun dish at home for our kids to try! It mimics Mount Fuji, the base is filled with cabbage and beansprouts, wrapped with beef shabu shabu and topped with kang kong.

September Staycation Day 2 | Fairmont Hotel

Breakfast is provided for in our staycation package. Down we went to Prego where breakfast is served. You just have to order whatever you like from the menu and they will bring it to you.

Being tourist for a day. We visited the National Gallery. A very child friendly place. Plenty of hands on activities for the children. We always enjoy our visits to the National Gallery. As we arrived slightly late at our breakfast place and had to wait in queue. We only managed to reach the National Gallery about 11am and it was going to close at 12noon for disinfection. Alamak.

So the kids managed to see some art installations (dayung sampan), did some batik painting works, saw some origami robot folds but didn't managed to do it cos it was closing soon.
There was an activity on making your own house out of carton box which we didn't get to do too. Not to be disappointed by our short visit, we went round exploring parts of National Gallery which we had never been too!
As the kids section was closed for disinfection, we were still very full from our heavy breakfast and so went to view the Art Gallery instead. We managed to get our free tickets from the counter and visited the works of Georgette Chen. It was such a lovely day!!!
Lovely spaces on the upper floors for the children to explore and even run around!

After viewing the art works, we walked back to Fairmont Hotel and changed out for our pool! YAY! And it was a sunny afternoon!!! Gorgeous day to be out at the poolside. So sad, my period came, so I couldn't join the children in the pool and had to wait by the poolside, wearing a mask in the sunny afternoon. Although I was under the shade of the umbrella, it was still very "hot" to wear a mask!!!

Dinner was at Haidilao because it has been so long!!!
I had totally forgotten that they provide toys for kids. The children were so delighted to receive little gifts and told me that Haidilao is one of their favourite place for meals.
Jade received a princess magic wand. She was almost screaming with delight on the insides! On the way back to our hotel room, she was skipping, marching with her wand and giggling...
Jade. Brain freeze from the ice cream.
