TRAVELLING WITH KIDS - Our 4D3N Bintan Getaway
Had 2 weeks of annual leave to clear during Christmas period and we all decided to visit Bintan again after having such a wonderful time at Bintan Canopy. This time round, we are going somewhere much further away from the ferry terminal that requires approx 75mins on the shuttle bus which will bring us to our home for the next 3 days. Guess where are we off to?
We are off to The Residences Bintan!!! Shuttle bus journey was really very very long. On the way, they served us bottles of water and a packet of 2 biscuits each.
view of the beach from the resort lobby.
Welcome drinks upon arrival. Check in was fairly simple but could have been faster. Looks like they are full house today since it's the festive period and so you have to wait for your turn.
As hubs was busy checking in with our particulars, me and kids were off exploring the lobby and taking scenic pictures of the place. The skies were particularly blue and it looked to peaceful. Can't wait for my next 3 days of peace and quiet.Hubs booked us the one room villa that comes with a direct beachfront and our very own pool. The one bed villa has a king size poster bed, a really huge bathroom that has a bathtub and long shower area, dual sinks and separate private WC.
Our very own pool has a direct view and access to the beachfront, little sand pit right beside the pool where the kids built many sandcastles, 2 deck chairs for me and hubs to watch over our children with umbrella. The view was spectacular!!!
The kids were so excited to build their own sandcastles once we reached our villa. Look! They haven't even changed into their swimsuits yet!!!
above: Finally I managed to get all 3 of them into their swimsuits.
We brought a pink float and ball for Jade to play since the 2 boys already have started their swimming lessons so they pretty much can keep themselves occupied.
The 2 elder brothers are always teasing their younger sister.
Do remember to bring snacks. and bring alot!! The resort is so far from anywhere and there's no convenient store here to buy anything. You really just have to depend on your own resources or their room service.
Sandcastle city
Did I mention that the toys have a get-away trip too?
Very soon it was dinner time and time to explore more of the resort grounds.
Dinner was at the Dining Room. There are 3 places to dine here - The Dining Room which serves international cuisine, Rica Rica which serves Indonesian cuisine and The Pool Bar which serves pizza and finger food.
There's an Activity Room where the kids tried their hands on Ping Pong and Carem. But Jade played dirty as usual, so the game ended really fast with the 2 boys getting frustrated and decided to head back to our villa for more tv and movie night.
