It's a play date for our kids today! Eliz who is Jules kindy friend has come over to our place before we bring all 4 kids out to NERF. Hubs told me quietly aside after we placed all the kids inside NERF: "so this is how it feels to have 4 kids"
hahaha.
The 3 elder kids started playing UNO first before they changed game to table soccer which was a christmas present from their Godma. The kids found it exhilarating whenever they managed to get a ball goal. Trains their motor skills and reflexes too. I highly recommend this affordable toy to those looking for birthday presents for kids between 4 - 8 years old!!!
above: Jade, 3 years old. Totally not interested in the games that the elder kids were playing.
I call this the generation gap crisis.
Lunch was at Marina Square Collins!
above: Eliz feeding Jade. I think Jade loved having an older sister around.
While we may bought our tickets online, but there were certain timeslots to go into NERF, so we are all out here waiting at the Merchandise store. The store is very small, with very few NERF guns. I think shopping at Toys R Us would be a better option.
Before we went to purchase our tickets online, we actually went down to the shop to ask the differences between Conquer, Challenge, Compete and Create.
So basically there are 2 age groups:
(1) for 7 years old and above and
(2) for 7 years and below.
So technically, only Eliz and Jules can only play at Conquer and Compete; while James and Jade can only play at Challenge. So the 4 kids were separated. Sob Sob. I heard from James that Challenge had a huge ball pit which was super fun!!! Jules was so upset that he couldn't go into the ball pit.
We didn't buy the combo tickets that included create because we felt that we didn't need anymore "green" bags home. Create is basically an art workshop where kids use the nerf guns to spray paint onto eco-recycable bags and you get to bring the bag home.
Ok, so the photo above are one of the very few pictures which I managed to take from the outside. Basically all stations need to queue and wait for your turn. Hubs who actually accompanied the kids inside NERF, did not take any photos at all!
I heard the above one which they were queueing were the zombies one (Zombie City) and Camp Dune, then there is The Glacier and The Volcano that had the kids jumping into gurney sacks to go down a super tall slide while the other one had rock wall climbing. Hmm, I'm not sure how accurate I am as these are all what I heard from 7 years old children who were panting and talking so excitedly about their adventures....it was not easy to understand if you know what I mean.
So Eliz mummy came to pick her back for their family dinner and for us, we had a good japanese dinner at Ichiban Boshi (Velocity). Life is so good when all I need to do is to ferry kids here and there and have meals outside.
No work is so relaxing. Sigh. 1 more day to rest before it's back to work again.
