When we arrived at Bay East Garden for a scoot and cycle, an event had just finished and people were packing up plastic chairs, moving notice boards etc...and there was a vendor giving out free popsicles!! Or more fondly known here as potongs! So my kids each had a red bean potong and we even bought back a box of potong. Inside the box, there were at least 12 numbers.

I heard from my sister that her 2 sons love anything "Saucy" and so my mother is cooking chicken curry and sweet and sour pork. And so it is true, my 2 nephews ate so much sweet and sour pork!

Managed to take a photo with Owen who is quite friendly and willing to take a wefie with me, Ian my younger nephew didn't want to take a photo...so sad.

The Backyard Bakers | Care pack

 

My sis-in-law loves their brookies and brownies and everything chocolate. So I decided to give it a try too! Inside my care pack has a banana cake which was quite moist and reminded me of my own banana cake which I baked so often during Covid times where I did quite a few lunch bakes!

Hubs cooked beef stew with my frozen beef knuckle cubes. A staple which I buy from an online meat store when it goes on sale. With frozen beef knuckle cubes, I will make beef rendang, or hubs will make his beef stew. Either way, it always goes superb with rice.

When you have pork shabu shabu in the freezer and don't feel like doing hotpot. Here's another way of cooking! Pork shabu shabu bowl. It is really quite simple if you have teriyaki sauce on hand and sliced half a yellow onion.

Now that it is back to office everyday, there is so little meal times to spend with my children. Weekends are the only times where I can cook for the children. And breakfast is one of them!

Today for breakfast, I made sunny side ups, smoked sausages (air fry, pan fry), spinach and plain toast.

Admiralty Park (Woodlands)

There are so many large and spacious playgrounds in Singapore!!! And today we are making our way to Admiralty Park. It has been built for quite some time now, but we never seem to find time to visit. It was only after our visit then a few parents told me that when they visited it during COVID times, the slide swing which you see in the photo below was closed. So how fortunate we were!! Because when we went, it was opened!!!
