CNY Day 01| 压岁钱

 

 压岁钱 means money given to children as a Chinese Lunar New Year gift which is usually put in a red envelope or paper bag.  And that is how we start our first day of the Lunar New Year! And while we give red packets to our little ones, we wish them well in chinese to them! 

This year 2023, our whole family is decked in red on the first day of the Lunar New Year. Jade's red dress is from Cotton On Kids, a birthday present from one of our dear friends. The boy's new year shirts are from our Bangkok trip. Last minute buys from the market before heading to the airport!
