GOOD MORNING DANANG!
it's my 2nd morning in Danang. And my poor baby James is down with cough. He is coughing so badly that he is so tired and fell asleep on the couch. And he couldn't spit out his phlegm so he has vomited once this morning.

while we packed our luggage for our check out, we put James onto our bed so that he can sleep properly. Once we were ready to check out, hubs carried James who was in a sulky mood...the cab ride to the foot of Bana hills was $423k viet dong ($25 SGD) and we requested for it to be run on meter. In Danang, we used the Green Colour Cabs for all our transport and we also ask for them to run on meter. And because hubs bought their WIFI from the airport, we pretty much have unlimited usage of WIFI and so everytime when we get onto a cab, hubs just use google maps to make sure that the cab driver knows where we are heading to.

Here in Danang, the viets are crazy about roundabouts....it's like they rather have a round about than traffic lights. The traffic here is slow and chaotic. Nobody needs traffic lights and everyone just crosses the road as and when he likes.

...while me and James took a picture together!
When we arrived, we told someone that we are checking into Mercure Hotel and they told us to wait. Soon someone dressed in a uniform, wearing a straw hat arrived and took our luggage. He led us to a buggy and drove us up to the hotel reception at the foot of Bana Hills.
Once we reached the hotel reception, we did a check in and realised that we needed to pay for the cable car ride. Because Jules was over 1m in height, he had to pay for a cable car ride while James was free. Our cable car ride came up to a total of $1.1 million dong!
KA-CHING!
Did you know that the cable car ride up to Bana Hills is the longest ride in the world!!! OMG. I didn't know that and I thought the ride was going to take forever. At first I was still happily standing in the cable car taking selfies, wefies and our immediate surroundings when suddenly the cable car jerked. That was when I felt fear!!! and I just sat there throughout my trip, refusing to turn my back to see how far we have travelled.
yes yes I'm a scarey cat. 我会怕死!

Once the cable car reached the cable car station, someone helped us with our luggage and led us to the hotel lobby. So we had to check in again. But it was relatively quick and they gave us our card key and led us to our rooms. We had to walk past the plaza and into some castle-like place. We took the lift up 1 storey and reached our room. The room had a musky smell and it was worn out and looked really old. But the boys thought it was super cool to stay in castle. Anyway since we were only going to stay for a night, it was still bearable.

LUNCH LUNCH LUNCH! and it was very good, tasty and looks awesome. Plus it was really comfort food for us and the boys. I ordered carbonara, grilled Salmon and mushroom cheese pizza and 1 can of coke. Total bill came up to $525k viet dong. ($31 SGD)
ok. I'm going to take a break now from posting. Will continue Day 3 second half in another post!
[backpost after resting for 4 days!]
And there were many Koreans who love eating BBQ meats in the morning! GOSH.
Brought the kids to the underground games arcade and then we realised that all the games here are FREE!!! TOTALLY FREE!!
so they went on the merry go round, ferris wheel, played all the transformer, 3D shooting games, air table hockey, went on car rides, played basketball hoops, bowling ball pins...you named it, they played it.
Even hubs and I enjoyed playing all sorts of arcade game with the boys!!! It was truly fascinating!!

Dinner was at Le'table which served authentic Vietnamese food. The side buffet was free for all diners. But it was nothing much...just a lot of leaves and a few different sauces to go with your salad.
The pho at Le'table is really good!!! and it was so comforting to eat and drink hot soup because of the cold weather outside!
For the kids, we ordered a burger for them to share and while they were waiting for their food to arrived, both of my sons were happily colouring the colouring books which Le'table has for kids to occupy their time with. So thumbs up for that extra service! Total bill was $580k for everything.
xoxo
