Sushi on Wheels

Our first time trying out sushi on Jules train set. And it was a hit with the kids. I had the children wash their little plastic play plates. That alone, searching for their plates took about 20mins, hah! Yes the kids have so many toys in a box that makes it difficult to search for things quickly.

Jules went about to set up the train tracks first. And throughout our sushi dinner, he was the one with the controls, delivering the sushi right to the door step of James and Jade. Jules was quite good at controling the speed too! Sometimes when we complain that our sushi delivery is too slow, he will make the trains go faster....hahahah

Setting up the train track

The train track took the entire length of the dining table! Took Jules a few tries to get the length right and got the trains to start moving. We blue-tac the plastic plates onto the train as they don't balance too well on their own. Can't imagine if the sushi were on top! I'm quite sure when the train turns round the bend, the sushi and plates will all start falling. The children were quite imaginative...as I start to plan the sushi plating, saucers, chopsticks on the dining table, there was a large portion of the dining table not being utilised, and guess what? The children brought their animals to the table!!! And now we have a mini zoo.

Saturday Afternoon

Today for lunch, I heat up 2 packets of Korean Spicy Chicken which I purchased online! Have not tried it before, but my cousin tells me that it's quite good and easy to do. And I do love korean food...who doesn't right after watching so many korean dramas.

Anyway for lunch, we had Korean Spicy chicken served in my trusty frying pan, added large yellow onions and sprinkled sesame seeds on top. On the side, we have spinach, fried chicken and sunshine egg for everyone.

After lunch, a quick trip to our local supermarket to stock up our fridge for another week's of home cooking. The kids enjoy reading some comics at the book section. Occasionally I will buy a few books for them to bring home. Feel kind of bad when my kids read the books for free all the time.

Weekends, I let the children watched more television than I would like. It is hard to find things to occupy them other than the quickest way by turning the telly on. *guilty mum here* See photo above, Jade is so cute! She watches cartoons also can be scared. She will use the cushion to hide her eyes.
