Good Morning Bintan, our breakfast spread! I had the mee soto and mee goreng. The boys liked al the waffles and sweet buns for breakfast.
I was wondering why there was no egg station, then I realised that you had to order. Aiyoh. I ordered sunny side ups.
Besides their mee soto, I tried their porridge too. It is right next to the mee soto. It is plain porridge, so I added chicken (from mee soto), soy sauce, fried anchovies.
I think all malay cuisine is nice, the rest are acceptable.
Reminds me of my Architecture history lessons on Minangkabau.
Breakfast drizzled alittle, it is a very short stroll from the breakfast area back to our Villa. All the pitch roof villas are call Villa Isla. In the centre, there is a water feature and koi pond.
Each villa, the resort provided 2 bicycles.
Above: the communal swimming lap pool is situation above the reception area. See the hot pink float at the staircase? That's my kids making their way to the swimming pool without me!
Above: at the swimming pool!
There are no bath towels here, no floats and no what-so-ever. You will need to bring all your pool stuff.
Floats, goggles, sunblock, towels.
Above: for lunch, we walked to their Oceanhouse restaurant. Ordered Soup Mie & Udang (Jade), Soup Ayam Dan Wonton (James, but he didn't really like it), Tumis Bok Choy (me), Bintang Beer (2x), Gado Gado (me), Ayam Baker (hubs) and Slam burger (Jules).
Total bill came up to 482,000 rupiah.
Above: Jade and her prawn noodles. There were 5 large river prawn noodles.
Ayam bakar (this was quite good that hubs ordered again for his dinner). I had Gado Gado, the peanut sauce was delicious!
Above: Our lunch looked so colourful and sumptous!
Jade loved to have a flower by her ear. She looked really sweet and very resorty. We stayed at Villa No. 5.
Before dinner, we had a stroll along Trikora Beach.
