Feb 2022 | Staycation Day 1 at Shangri-la Hotel

It is our first time to Shangri-la hotel for a family staycation. Booked the Playcation package directly from the hotel. So it comes with daily breakfast, admissions to Buds (their indoor playground within the hotel compounds) and Splash (own private indoor play pool within the hotel compounds). Our friends who has young children have been raving how good Shangri-la is with young families and so we decided to splurge a little to celebrate both Hubs and James birthday. A short staycation weekend but filled with fun, laughter and joy.

And many thanks to Shangri-la! We did not inform them that we were here to celebrate our birthdays but after our visit back from buds, we found 2 birthday cards, a cake and a box of chocolates! James was very surprised and we were all so happy!

Both Buds and Splash have very specific timing and only allow a certain number of pax within the play areas. So by the time we checked in at 4pm, we only could visit either Buds or Splash. Both close at 6pm. We decided to bring the kids to Buds and booked a 6pm pool slot since we couldn't make it to Splash.

My goodness! The kids went crazy inside Buds, climbing up and down, running here and there. There were many slides of varying heights, gun shooters, pools of balls, treasure chests large enough to fit a kid inside, trampoline etc.

Back to our rooms to find our surprise birthday cards, cake and chocolates!

Late Dinner at Origin. Our seating time was 845pm. 

The boys had kids meal - steak and fries. Jade had spaghetti bolognese.

I had black and white cod while hubs have pork chops. 

We shared an appetiser - cauliflower.

Hubs lovely pork chop, well done but still tender and flavourful.

back to our rooms and we ate the lovely ganache chocolate for supper!
