Velle Cooks \\ Sambal Flower Squid for dinner!

 


To be honest, all my sambal dishes, I use Lee Kum Kee sambal sauce! Here's how I do cook it, sambal kangkang, sambal squid, sambal whatever.

  • 1 tbsp of Sambal sauce
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 3 cloves shallots
  • sugar
  1. Heat up wok or frying pan. Add a little oil, fry shallots and garlic till aromatic.
  2. Add squid (flower cut or rings), add 1 tbsp sambal sauce, water and simmer for 2-5mins. Add sugar to taste. I add sugar because my children can't take too much original sambal spice.
  3. Garnish with coriander and serve hot!
  4. Drizzle fresh lime juice for tangy taste!
