Travelling with Kids - Canopi Bintan Day 02 - Treasure Bay and BBQ dinner

2nd Day in Canopi Bintan - Treasure Bay, adventure rides and BBQ dinner

Our second day in Bintan started with cloudy skies. Looked like it was going to rain any minute. We rushed down to our breakfast area and there were many kids playing at the sandy playground outside the breakfast cafeteria.

There was a a good mix of local food like fried rice or mee goreng. Porridge for babies and young kids, cereals and an egg station where you can ask the waiter to whip up any kind of eggs you want.
Took a buggy down to Treasure Bay, all canopi guests have free entrance to this "Treasure Bay". Basically it has some water activity area, sundeck area for suntanning, restaurants, food stalls, rent scooters and other kiddy rides and a really huge indoor playground.
As the weather was quite rainy, we did the safe route - bought unlimited hours to play at the indoor playground and the kids totally enjoyed themselves.

Beginning we thought Jade was too young to know...then we saw little kids went in! So we bought her a ticket as well...or rather kids under the age of three needs an accompanying adult. So we bought an adult ticket and hubs was tasked to play with her.

as you can see from the photos, even at the young age of 1, Jade enjoyed herself tremendously in the pool of plastic balls!

We had a simple lunch downstairs of the indoor playground. There were only 2 stalls opened. Ordered some satays and fried chicken rice.

Back to our tent to rest, showered and we let the kids watch some telly.

Went back to treasure bay again because we promised the boys that we will let them do some adventure rides in the evening before dinner.
me and baby jade sat out waiting, while the boys went riding on their fancy rides.
It's ok! at least i got some mummy-daughter time!!!

We ordered a 2 pax set BBQ from the restaurant and the campfire came at about 730pm.
It's about S$33 per pax and we ordered for 2. The food portions were generous. 2 adults and 3 kids, we almost couldn't finish everything.
There was a plate of mee goreng, fried rice, potato salad, garden salad, dessert (cakes), fruit platter, veggie sticks, kebabs of beef and chicken, squids on sticks. Otahs, 2 huge corn cob and 2 mackerels.

and at the convenience store, we bought 4 cans of Bintan beer for our BBQ!

there was so much food to go around!

burps!
