What an eventful saturday!
After our visit to the Fire station at Hill street, it was an impromptu decision to bring the children to the National Art Gallery. Fortunately, it was within walking distance and we had time to spare. My children always enjoy their visit to the National Art Gallery because of all the fun and interactive DIY activities that this gallery has.
My INK-credible Adventure by Yeo Shih Yan is one of our favourites where the children can do "air" painting and their waves gets intepreted into brush strokes...clapping sounds becomes ink splatters and even jumping (which is one of every little child favourite activity) becomes an art piece.
We signed up for one of the classes on paper cutting. Hah! finally got some feet resting time.
Above: the children were very engrossed in cutting their paper. YAY! 30mins went by just like that. I only had to take photos of them. Truly great babysitting activity.
The people at National Art Gallery were so kind to even offer to take a family photo of us! Here's a picture of their completed paper cutting artwork.
a visit to the prison cell completes our day trip to the National Art Gallery. Thank you Elliot and Nathan for such a good sport! Hope to have more play dates like this!
