Christmas Eve at Taman Serasi

 

This year's christmas eve was ordered online from Cold's Storage. Comes with turkey, pork knuckle and honey ham. We did the ordering quite late because we didn't know whether we were able to celebrate christmas as an extended family. 

Usually we will order Christmas dinner feast about 1.5 months ahead and will be able to get early bird gifts...but this year is so different. We didn't know whether we could have both sides of the grandparents over to our place for Christmas together with their cousins. This is a usual family gathering for years...so we put on hold, until quite late before we decided that we will stick to a 5 pax person and order a dinner feast for 5.

But I'm still thankful that we managed to celebrate a mini christmas with my side of the family. On top of all the ordered food, my mum prepared her chicken curry and bee hoon, we did a pesto pasta and some vegetables.

Not sure whether are many families like us, doing christmas dinners at home because I was not able to find mustard sauce from my supermarket for my pork knuckle!!! And there was no broccoli too...so we had to buy some string beans to "top up" the vegetables. hahah....talk about last minute grocery shop.
