Posting photos here now that my left eye inflammation is almost 90% recovered after a 7 week hiatus. Will backpost on my write up on our most awesome day in Perth where we visited the Pinnacles and Lancelin Sand dunes. The desert and the sand-boarding was definitely one of the most memorable moments for us in Perth.
...
Morning visit to Yanchep National Park where the local animals are really "wild". They are unlike the ones we saw at Caversham Wildlife Park. The kangeroos here looked like if you gave them a stare they just might kick you!

above: Jules enjoyed terrorizing the ducks who ran as fast as they could into the waters.
Jade on the other hand was so happy to see the kangeroos!
we did a bush walk trail.
and we hit the roads again for our lunch at Lobster Shack.
We were so hungry that we ate first before doing the lobster shack tour. Hubs ordered 2 fish & chips, bucket of chilled prawns and a half sized lobster. The coffee wasn't really great here. I think the food over-rated and the price is on the high side. But since it's on the way to Pinnacles and Lancelin, it's really quite convenient to catch a bite here.
went to the beach for some sand sea and sun!
This trip is all about getting enough rest stops and breaks for the kids to stretch their legs, if not they will complain loads in the car.
The weather was perfect to just watch time go by. Truly magnificent.
The white sandy beach and balmy cold winds just woke us up from our heavy lunch! See how the wind is blowing Jade's hair!
The tour around the lobster factory was so-so, but it gave the boys some knowledge that lobsters are caught in the sea, on a boat and graded according to their sizes. Most of them are shipped to China!
here comes the fun part! - Visiting the Pinnacles.
OMG. the vast desert landscape is just awesome and HUGE!
BUT...there were tons of flies!!!
did i mention that i have 2 crazy boys???? They do wacky stuff all the time!
above: look closer and you can see Jules "posing" behind.
James is so happy that he's running all the time!
Jules did a huge air-jump here but he was in front of the boulder, so you can't really see him jumping that much. So regret. Should have asked him to stand and jump abit more to the right.
Right. Sharing here! If you want to do the sandboarding, before going down to Lancelin, you can rent a board here = Lucky 7. See above photo of store?
above: Jules with his board, climbing up the sand dune. He looks damn cool in the picture but it's really hard work climbing up the soft sand.
Our last dinner in Perth and we decided to pig out on Korean BBQ!!! The kids enjoyed the beef while we enjoyed our SOJU.
last night already, so brought the kids back to our nearby playground for a swing!
