Satay by the Bay
is located between Gardens by the Bay and Marina Barrage. We visited it on a saturday night and boy was it crowded and a favourite with both locals and tourists. More so for those who were jogging by the bay and ended their jog right here to have a cuppa sugar cane, BBQ chicken wings and satay!
See how crowded it was. And it was already 830pm. I thought by arriving here late, we could have beat the crowd. Apparently Singaporeans eat at all times. The ceiling of the naturally ventilated hawker had skylight openings shaped like a leaf and at the periphery of the ceiling were dangling creepers.
For the alfresco sitting area, there were many tree booths with coloured lightings and the stools and tables were all children size.
Here's Jules busying himself with moving one of the stools. He felt straight at home with all the low tables and stools. Everything was his size.
after sipping some of our sugar cane, Jules decided that water is better for quenching his thirst.
The prices are quite reasonable. We ordered a medium stingray, stir fried kai lan and fried rice. The total bill was $26.
