Jules - Lego Duplo "My First Garden Set"

We bought Jules a Lego Duplo "My first garden set" for him to play because he enjoyed his first 2 sets from his 1st birthday party. So this set had flowers, a pony and a goat plus a gardener or he could probably be a farmer since he has a pitch fork. I really don't know. But the parts that came in the set was really cute (like the fence and bunch of cherries) and most of them, Jules didn't have them, so I thought it wasn't really a repeat and bought it for him.

 here's how the box looks like

here's the end product, made proudly by his grandma...grandma made the pony carried a bunch of red cherries while the goat had to carry a red lego block. hahha....

Jules - TGIF National Day Barbeque at home

 1230pm: Hub is starting his charcoal in a "Ba Gua" Formation!

 then my in-laws arrived. and helped to keep Jules entertain while i start to take all the food out from the fridge.

We served baked veggies on a pile of garden salad before the BBQ started to settle everyone's stomaches. As you know, BBQ takes awhile to get the fire started and the food cooked.

 Today, we are having a feast! - we have chicken fillet, pork fillet, beef steak, prawns, scallops, garlic sausages, crab sticks, squid and vegetables of all sorts!

 Soon we got the fire started, thanks to hubs and dad-in-law!

While the men got the BBQ going, i did the photo-taking for the day!

 it was so coincidental that Jules and his grandma were wearing matching outfits that day!

 now we are BBQ-ing prawns

Think we added to much butter to the scallops that it caught fire! So we immediately put the lid down and the fire was put out.

Hi there,

today is our helper's off day so we brought Jules to the Singapore Zoo for a treat! I'm not sure whether did he understand what he was looking at but he sure enjoyed himself looking at all the different animals because he kept pointing to them when I wanted to continue walking forward.

Jules - 1st visit to the Singapore Zoo (Part 1)

Selamat Hari Raya!! and it's going to be a long weekend of holidays here in Singapore so we are off to the Singapore zoo to have a wild time. Jules is already very happy and preppy in his new romper and to match his stripey blue romper, hubs and I are also wearing stripes today!!!

 Jules putting his hand out to me: STOP the paparazzi! and then he points his index finger at him in warning.

within 30mins, we are there! and there was already a line of cars waiting to gain entry into the open surface carpark.

 first stop is to settle our stomachs and we had our brunch at KFC and fed Jules his cereals.

Then because the normal queue to get tickets was so long that we decided not to use our safra vouchers and paid the full ticket price to get in. The full ticket price was a much shorter queue.
The first animals which we saw were the monkeys!

we saw flamingoes, antelopes and rhinoceros.

Jules - 1st visit to the Singapore Zoo (part 2)

 next we saw giant turtles, 2 were having a bath, the rest were eating vegetables in a pit. we also went pass the penguins, polar bears, pelicans and sea lions.

The only show which we managed to catch on time was the Rainforest one. We tried the elephant one which was so crowded that we couldn't squeeze ourselves into the pavilion.

We managed to catch the feeding time of the white tiger and here's hubs propping Jules up on his shoulders to catch a glimpse of the white tiger.

 Father and son looked at each other : YUP, it's time we moved along.

We stopped over at the foodcourt for lunch and fed Jules his porridge before we called it a day. We had nasi padang with baked chicken ($9.50) and mee siam ($6.50). It was super crowded. Thank god we managed to find a seat and the weather was good enough. The whole day it was windy and not sunny at all, if not i think i would have gotten a sunburnt.

on the way out, we passed by the souvenir shops and let Jules had a hug at the furry animals. He loved them but we didn't buy one for him.

and he was knocked out...zzz on the way back home.
