Off to Genting Highlands!

 

We are off to a great start for the 3 days PSLE marking. Also our way to treat Jules after the period of no travel, doing papers after school and on weekends, tuitions, no long periods outside on weekends. Basically I felt like I was also going through an exam period. Finally I feel so relieved!

Dinner at Loong Kee Restaurant.

Must eat: Fried Pork Belly (but the kids didn't like it, too fatty and oily), Chicken (kampung yellow steam chicken in soy sauce), Salted eggs long bean (hubs liked it) and lala soup.

Adults corner: Hubs managed to grabbed some metal shelves and we set up our drinks corner.

Next to doorway: Kitchen is too small to put coffee machine, so we set it up next to Main entrance door and dining table. Great way to have our caffeine fix before we go to work every morning.

Entry doorway: Brought a painting from my room and hanged it here. At least there's something nice to see when I reach or leave home.

Common bath: Installed a pendant light for more light in the bathroom. Spruce it up with a potted plant.

Yard: Kitchen too small, had to put our wine fridge here. No problem at all. Now it is a great "shelf" to house my microwave and eggs. Hubs bought clothes pole too. Heavy duty and super easy to install. Now we can dry our clothes easily.

Main Entrance: Here's how we arrange and organise our stuff. Cubby for the kids school bags, easy retrieval. Next is coffee station, printer and school miscellaneous stuff. At the end of the storage rack is our drinks corner, next to 2 seater sofa.

Shoe and what-nots' corner: Some ikea shelves which we brought from our storhub. I added a curtain to hide the things behind. Kids' sleeping area (bunk bed) with make shift wardrobe. Yup, now we live from a suitcase style. That's all the clothes that my three kids have, put together.

After 2 weeks of settling into Signature Park, curtains installed, now the living room is the kids' room. Spacious enough for bunk bed for three, study table with 3 chairs, bookshelves and even room to play on the floor.

Dressing table: missed the one that I had at Balestier. Bought a totally new piece from IKEA. Now I feel so happy with my own space, a little mirror and my stack of perfumes.

Lately, we have made quite a few purchases from Ikea, Daiso, Donki, Fairprice etc etc.

Busy buying cushions, floor mats, pots and pans, cutlery, plates and bowls.

Even toilet paper roll holder.

Today, we shifted out of Taman Serasi and shifted into Signature Park. So much mixed feelings of excitement and feelings of left behinds. It's amazing how we managed to decide and move all in a weeks' time. My recollection was hubs confirmed with me to shift on which weekends of June since it is the school holidays and I was telling him about when we were not in Singapore and it all happened during that car drive conversations.

Sun: Fix the lease contract. Inform MCST on minor renovation works. Apply carpark permit. Book movers. Organise the Contractor, aircon man, painter, electrician. 

Mon-Tue: Aircon man will come and fix new aircon units

Wed: Ceiling fan installation and electrician coming to install all new light fixtures for the kitchen and bathrooms.

Thu: Painting the entire apartment.

Fri: Shifting in.
