Jay Cooks | Swedish meatball pasta

 

Bought meatballs from IKEA and tonight we are having swedish meatball with mushroom sauce pasta. And we didn't have any salad, so here's a twist with blanched chye sim on the side.

Star Vista | Karting | Ikea | Grandparents Place

 

The Junes holidays are nearly here! screams!!! Star vista has karting system at the event plaza for kids. And we brought the kids there for a ride. Quite expensive but there was still a queue. Anyhow the kids enjoyed the ride.

Afternoon, we visited our favourite furniture store - IKEA alexandra. The children each had a soft cone cos the weather was so hot. And now that soft cone is available, everyone is so happy!

Dinner was at my mum's place. My mum whipped up such delicious dishes - Sweet Sour Pork, sliced fish ginger scallions, fried prawn and onion omelette and garlic kailan. We all went home with bulging tummies.

Saturday Afternoon | Badminton and Playground

after lunch, we brought the kids downstairs to play badminton. 

After awhile, we drove to a nearby HDB playground. There was a little boy who tried to play catching with them...but I think my kids are not very friendly...so in the end the little boy gave up playing.

Badminton with their cousins!

James did his Pirate Lego in the afternoon, after coming back from grandparent's place. Super awesome, well made and so I had to take a photo for memory.

What I cooked for dinner: Stir fry wok hei sliced fish, spinach, miso soup with tofu crabsticks and beancurd skin, leftover chicken from yesterday.

Tabao Dinner

 

Had 2 of my close friends over for dinner, but because we had a long day at Wild Wild Wet, so I didn't really have time to cook and asked hubs to go over to Hong Kong street to tabao Hor Fun, Hong Kong noodles and Fried Rice. I managed to whip up some enoki wrapped bacon and stir fry broccoli and my friends came!

we had some wine and lots of snacks after dinner. Phew. So full!

A Day's out to Wild Wild Wet!

Hello! Today we are going to Wild Wild Wet! Wild Wild Wet is a water theme park located at Downtow East. You will need to buy tickets to go in, it's not free.

This is our first time going, and the kids and myself are quite excited about it. Our friend has booked a cabana there too and we are all going to celebrate Jules belated birthday as his birthday was during the exam period.

Gosh, Wild Wild Wet is quite huge! We tried a few of the rides as some were limited to height. So fortunately Jules and James were able to do some of the thrilling ones like the Kraken Racers, and we did some "family rides" together like the ular-lah raft slide (crazy long queue but we did it like 3 times) and shiok river which had too many rubber tyres and we got stuck most of the time and it was so slow...too slow actually. hahaha. Other family ride was the Tsunami Swim pool which we did together for awhile before we got separated again. I heard from Hubs, Jules and Eliz did the Tsunami pool for quite awhile too...

I totally lost the boys like three quarters the time there and only babysit Jade most of the time at Professors Playground where there are like 4 mini slides and huge bucket free fall. It was crazy as the compounds were huge.

Jules and Eliz spent most of their times together while Hubs went on the rides with James. Both Jules and Eliz did the torpedo!!! And I didn't get to know it until like end of the day...

Fortunately it was a lovely sunny afternoon and only started to rain about 4pm when we decided to call it day.

 

 

actually there are so many rides for different kids, there is no need to bring your super soakers or water guns.

Finally we found all the kids and Jules had a nugget birthday cake. Ling (Eliz mum) is totally the sweetest and most thoughtful mums around.

Jules had a handmade card, a hang around your neck mini fan and a rubiks cube and a volume of Investigators.
